I am a personal trainer with qualifications from the YMCA and the International Institute of Sports Therapists. I have additional awards in motivational techniques, spinning and martial arts. Achievements include: 16 white collar boxing fights (15 w 1l 1d) including the British belt in 2005 and the European belt in 2006. I also trained at the Chin-Wu school of Kung Fu in Malaysia with the British institute of martial arts in 1996 and competed in 2 British WKO tournaments.

Why I became a personal trainer?

I find the capabilities of the human body astonishing; you just have to watch gymnastics to see for yourself.  It is because of this that in my mid teens I began to study martial arts, boxing and gymnastics.  It was through my teachers and mentors that I found out, humans are far more capable of physical achievement than they think they are, they just need a little help. So I started my education to become a personal trainer and coach. This learning has continued as I am ever more intrigued by what is possible. I aim to bring the best out in my clients, motivate, inspire and help them achieve their goals.  By listening exactly to what my clients want to achieve, what they are feeding back to me and constantly monitoring their progression, I truly believe that together we will change your life for the better. I am extremely passionate about what I do because of my interest in physical biomechanics. We each have a gift, our bodies and it’s our job to look after them in this ever demanding world, but it is my aim to help you make the most of them mentally and physically.

My PT philosophy

I think the most important aspect of personal training is in the title, ‘Personal’. We will spend quite a lot of time together, some of that may be in physically and potentially mentally demanding situations so it is imperative that we know we can work together. Which is why I believe consultations prior to training is vital. These consultations will of course be free, an initial deeper understanding of what can be achieved together and assess your potential. Prior to filling out a simple questionnaire, at the meeting you will have the opportunity to find out what will be involved in your training ask any questions you may have and begin to formulate your plan and goals.
